Tziupele is a Cannonau di Sardegna DOC still red wine made from 85 percent Cannonau and 15 percent Monica grapes produced by the Mode Winery in Romangia, Sardinia.

The grapes grow in a beautiful vineyard nestled on a hillside facing the sea cooled by the salty breezes of the mistral wind.

Grape harvesting as well as all processing in the vineyard is done strictly by hand. Harvesting takes place during the early morning hours from mid-August until the last days of September, the grapes are laid in small crates and transported to an old farmhouse for processing.

Once in the cellar, the winemaking process is started: crushing and soft pressing to preserve the quality of aromas and fragrances.

Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, as does aging on the lees for a period of about three to four weeks. Further Aging in stainless steel tanks for 12 months followed by at least another 6 months in bottle.

Tziupele Cannonau di Sardegna DOC presents a deep ruby color to the eye.

The nose is intense, giving hints of red fruits. Warm and savory on the palate, velvety and persistent with a pleasant light note of ripe red fruits. The palate gives pleasant velvety sensations and balanced harmonies.

At the table it goes well with fresh cheeses, chestnuts and dried fruits.

It is recommended to taste at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
