Azienda Agricola Lotta is located in San Nicolo d'Arcidano, a small town of three thousand inhabitants in the Campidano region of Terralbese known for its local wine production, just a few kilometers from the beautiful Costa Verde in Sardinia.
As in many other cases, production began with the family's "grandfather's" vineyards, with a focus on home production until 2010, when a full-fledged farm was established.
New vineyards are planted, focusing on a more professional type of cultivation and winemaking, all while adhering to the same philosophy, maintaining a small family business that emphasizes quality over quantity, and with the goal of respecting the land.
The Lotta winery's vineyards now cover an area of two and a half hectares, cultivated entirely by integrated pest management, reducing phytosanitary interventions to a minimum and doing most of the work by hand, such as harvesting, pruning and leafing, without the use of mechanical tools.
Currently, the Lotta winery produces about 15 thousand bottles, and makes wines from native Sardinian grapes such as Bovale, Carignano, and Vermentino.
