Vermentino di Cagliari DOC Superiore from Faragò Estates in Serdiana is a white wine with great personality, produced from 100% of the indigenous Vermentino grape variety, characteristic of Sardinia.

This grape variety expresses itself in wines of great character, and its presence throughout the island, with its different cultivation zones, gives the wines produced, strong and singular personalities, while maintaining the classic characters typical of the grape variety.

The Vermentino grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. After being destemmed and gently pressed, the must is extracted and then subjected to cold static clarification.

Fermentation takes place in steel vats for about 10 days at a controlled temperature between 15° and 18°. The wine then matures in stainless steel on its lees for at least 6 months. After this refinement phase, it is bottled young and further refined for a few months before being marketed.

Faragò Estates’ Vermentino di Cagliari DOC Superiore is a wine that best expresses its varietal and territorial characteristics. Coming from a 60-year-old vineyard in the Serdiana area, it has a brilliant straw colour that anticipates the freshness that can be perceived on the nose.

Floral, citrus and Mediterranean aromas envelop the senses, while in the mouth the wine reveals all its fragrance. Deep and savoury, thanks to the minerality of the soils in which it has been rooted for decades, the Vermentino di Cagliari DOC Superiore stands out for its perfect concentration, offering a balanced and full experience.

This wine lends itself to multiple gastronomic pairings. It is eclectic and goes well with seafood cuisine, but is also suitable for first courses and white meats.

It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 8 and 10 degrees, to best appreciate its unique characteristics.
