Vernaccia di Oristano DOC Riserva 2006 is a white wine made from 100% Vernaccia grapes produced by the winery Silvio Carta.

Vernaccia di Oristano DOC with an old gold color. The nose reveals intriguing sensations of chestnut honey and amaretto, butter, coffee and quince, Mediterranean scrub and glazed notes.

In the mouth a Vernaccia with an articulate flavor, moderately sweet and fresh, almost liqueur-like, closes with persistence of bitter almond.

If we talk about Vernaccia di Oristano, one cannot fail to mention Silvio Carta. The company has been producing and enhancing this grape variety, the oldest in this area, since the early 1950s.

The history of Vernaccia is very similar to that of the grapevine and viticulture itself; its presence is presumed from the earliest development of human communities in Sardinia.

Vernum, its name is said to derive from Latin, spring and thus rebirth or from Vernacula Locale.

We can call it an alchemic, exciting and affecting wine the perfect representation for this corner of the territory.

Excellent as a dessert wine, to venture with oysters, perfect with crostini with bottarga.

It is recommended to be tasted at the temperature of 12-14 °C
