Liscia Renè by Pure Sardinia is a Sardinian still rosé wine Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, made from pure Cannonau grapes from the Oddoène valley in Dorgali (Nuoro) within the Gennargentu National Park.

The Cannonau grapes come from vineyards 30 years old and are cultivated under a non-certified organic system with a maximum yield of 1 kg per plant.

The Cannonau grapes are harvested manually in small plastic baskets during the early hours of the morning with a load never exceeding 9 kg, usually during the first week of September.

In the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and softly pressed, leaving the must in contact with the skins for about 16-18 hours.

Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature using spontaneous yeasts and lasts approximately 13-15 days; the wine obtained is generally refined until March and once filtered, it is bottled the following April.

Liscia Renè Cannonau di Sardegna DOC is a wine with an intense pink colour with reflections tending towards orange (onion skin). In the glass it is consistent and flowing, with wide bows and fine tears.

The nose is immediately interesting, with scents reminiscent of rose petals, violet, jasmine. A very fine balsamic and light plum scent closes the aromatic department. Alcohol barely perceptible.

In the mouth, it is pleasant, fresh, slightly savoury, balanced, with very slight tannin in line with the structure of the wine. Good acidity combined with a discrete minerality give this wine a satisfying yet undemanding drink.

At the table, an excellent companion for traditional Sardinian seafood and tomato starters, mussel and clam sauté. Fish soups, fregola with shellfish or clams. Perfect with bluefin tuna and poultry dishes. Definitely try it with fresh grilled Sardinian pecorino cheese and carasau bread.

It is recommended to serve in a Rhenish 38 cl. glass at a temperature of 10-12 °C.

The evolutionary capacity of Capo F Cannonau di Sardegna DOC is 2-3 years.
