Doro Aged Gin by Pure Sardinia is a distillate obtained from the infusion of wild Sardinian juniper berries (Juniperus Communis), Salvia Desoleana, Myrtle leaves, Lentisk, Artemisia, lemon and orange peels, alcohol, water, produced in Sardinia and aged in old chestnut barrels that have always contained Vernaccia wine.
Doro Aged Gin is produced by infusing wild Sardinian juniper berries for 30 days together with botanicals in grain alcohol.
Subsequent slow artisanal distillation using a discontinuous method for about 10 hours in a steam boiler and copper pot still.
Doro Aged Gin is matured in old chestnut barrels for a period of 12 months.
A clear, deep yellow Gin with golden hues. The nose is complex and fine, clear hints of juniper berries, sage, maquis, resin, vanilla, citrus.
The entrance in the mouth is opulent, yet soft and persistent, with notes of toasted hazelnut, medicinal herbs and bitter almond.
We recommend tasting at a temperature of 21-23 °C.
