Locci’s Domu’s Cumpartia Carignano del Sulcis DOC is the authentic expression of Sardinia’s princely vine, the Carignano, which finds its fullest expression here.

In its essential and modern style, Cumpartia wants to express the spirit of sharing and hospitality typical of Sardinia without forgetting its roots and traditions. The name Cumpartia itself is derived from the Sardinian word ‘Cumpartida‘ meaning to share, to divide.

The aim is to create an affordable wine made from grapes grown on a sandy terroir. Through its minimalist yet roots-based style, Cumpartia perfectly embodies the values of accessibility, tradition and conviviality.

A Carignano red wine from 60-year-old vineyards cultivated with the alberello system at a density of 6000-7000 plants per hectare, located in the Sulcis sub-region between San Giovanni Suergiu and Is Urigus, on a sandy, calcareous terroir.

This wine encapsulates all the strength and character of these sunny lands facing the sea.

Manual harvesting and meticulous selection in the vineyard precede respectful vinification, with maceration on the skins for a fortnight. After a passage in steel, the wine matures for at least 6 months in glass.

The Cumpartia Carignano del Sulcis DOC has an intense ruby red colour, the nose expresses aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices and balsamic notes. In the mouth, it is powerful and enveloping, with soft tannins and fresh acidity balancing the structure. A wine with character, capable of recounting centuries of Sulcis wine-making history through the glass.

Cumpartia is the fruit of Locci’s Domu’s passion for this exceptional territory, a true celebration of the tradition and terroir of Sulcis, to be shared with those who appreciate the great wines of Sardinia.

Cumpartia pairs beautifully with first courses with meat sauces. At the table, it goes equally well with roasted or braised meat dishes, enhancing their flavours. Cumpartia also goes well with semi-matured cheeses and cured meats.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 18 °C.
