Mirto di Mirto ® Originale is a Myrtle liqueur from Sardinia produced by the historic Sardinian company Liquorificio Pacini di Elmas.

The production process of Mirto di Mirto® liqueur begins with the harvesting of the myrtle berries that grow wild in the Monte Arcosu nature reserve, a WWF Oasis.

Towards the end of December and the beginning of January, when the berries reach full ripeness, the myrtle harvest begins.

With the help of a special comb, the berries are harvested by hand, gathering them into large baskets.

At the end of the day, the berries are certified and transported inside jute sacks to our factory in Elmas, near Cagliari

Liquorificio Pacini checks the freshness, aroma and colour of the berries, selecting only those that pass quality control

The berries are then macerated in alcohol away from sunlight and heat sources. When maceration has come to an end, the infusion is ready to be made into liquor.

Myrtle Myrtle® is packaged in the unmistakable rectangular bottle.

A special feature of the Myrtle Liqueur is the presence of hand-selected and hand-inserted Sardinian myrtle berries in the bottom of each bottle.

Mirto di Mirto ® Originale has a ruby red colour with violet hues. Its aroma is balsamic with hints of Mediterranean maquis that recall the heady scents of summer evenings in Sardinia.

The mouthfeel is intense, enveloping and broad with a good alcohol content.

We recommend it after dinner, perfect as a base for cocktails, excellent for flavouring spoon desserts, ice cream and cakes.

To be consumed neat, well chilled.

Mirto di Mirto Originale is certified at origin as it is produced solely from berries harvested by hand in the Monte Arcosu reserve in Sardinia. It is also vegan and gluteen-free.

The history of Liquorificio Pacini begins in Sardinia during the period of World War II, to be precise it was the year 1944, when founder Bruno Olinto Pacini began his adventure in the world of liquor.

The Pacini company is currently based in Elmas near Cagliari, where it produces the famous Myrtle liqueur, in two versions, the better known from red berries and the very rare Sardinian Myrtle liqueur from white berries, as well as quality bitters, creams and grappas.
