Iolei Cannonau di Sardegna DOC is a still red wine made from 100% Cannonau grapes, produced by the winery Iolei Winery of Oliena in Sardinia.

Cannonau grapes are grown on medium-textured soil of schistose matrix, trained by guyot with a density of 5600 plants per hectare and a production of 1.5 kg grapes/head.

Iolei Cannonau di Sardegna DOC reveals itself to the eye as a beautiful ruby red with violet hues.

The nose gives hints of cherry, garnet juice, fresh bay leaves, myrtle berries and cloves. There is a slight hint of pepper on the finish that lends a particular spicy note to this Cannonau.

Enveloping and balanced in the mouth, good acidity, , tannic and overall well balanced.

At the table it goes perfectly with aroast meats, game, braised meats and aged cheeses. Excellent as an aperitif.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 18 °C.

The name: ihe winery’s firstborn, the ultimate expression of our project, is Iolei, which bears depicted on the label a painting by Sara Bachman, where one of Freya’s friends is depicted wearing the traditional costume of Oliena, while what is contained inside the bottle bears our signature. We are talking about a pure Cannonau that with its ruby red color represents the mysterious essence of our land and its fruits.
