Pisoni Wineries was born in Usini town in northern Sardinia located in the historical sub-region of Coros, in Logudoro, a land famous for the production of high quality wines.
In this area Cagnulari was born, here it has been rediscovered, promoted and revalued.
It has the largest number of wineries in relation to its population, many of which grow their own grapes and make wine in their own homes.
Guido Pisoni, following in the footsteps of his father, Pasqualino, now cultivates four hectares of vines, mainly Cagnulari, Vermentino and Cannonau a in the Laccheddos estates on land traditionally suited for grape growing.
Wines of great character and elegance are born in Usini's limestone hills dating back to the Neolithic period, thanks to a terroir with a special microclimate and ventilation.
Modern winemaking technologies allow us to make the most of these historical heritages of Sardinia.
New winemaking techniques make it possible to produce high-quality bottles with respect to the local winemaking tradition.
Pisoni Wineries currently produces three labels, all from grapes indigenous to Sardinia.
Cagnulari, Isola dei Nuraghi IGT; Laccheddos, Vermentino di Sardegna; and Cantigos, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC.
