The founders of Fraponti Wineries since the early 1900s have taken great care of the area's traditional native grape varieties, with the goal of enhancing the quality of wine production in southern Campidano.
The hard work added to the passion at dedication of three generations have brought us to where we are today, with the birth of the Fraponti Wineries led by the current heirs, who understand and carry on the strong winemaking identity of the territory of Quartu Sant'Elena, known for its ancient production of table wine and dessert wine.
At the foot of the Sette Fratelli Park, among the Quartesi hills, at the center of an integrated system of natural and environmental importance, which Fraponti Wineries in 2014 decided to plant new vineyards and establish a large business center with an area of 30 hectares.
The winemaking center is built on the Fraponti estate, where hand-picked grapes are delivered after being carefully selected by our winemakers.
The grape varieties covering the farm area are those recognized by Sardinian winemaking culture, among the red grapes Cannonau, Barbera Sarda, Monica and the white grapes, Nuragus and Vermentino and among the aromatic grapes, Nasco and Moscato.
Currently, Fraponti Wineries in Quartu Sant'Elena produces five wines, two Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, a red and a rosé, a white from Vermentino grapes, a blend from native and international grapes, and a pure Barbera Sardo, the winery's flagship product.
