Tanca su Conti is a Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva still red wine made from only Cannonau grapes, produced by the Trexenta Winery of Senorbì in Sardinia.
Cannonau grapes are grown on hilly terrain with loose, poor soil, bush-trained, average planting density 5,000 vines/ha and production of 60 quintals per hectare.
In the winery after careful selection of grapes, the grapes are crushed, the must paste is conveyed to macerators for fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24-25°C to 28°C at the end of alcoholic fermentation.
After 12 days of maceration, the wine is transferred to vitrified cement tanks. Once malolactic fermentation has taken place, it rests in French oak barrels for 18 months. It finishes aging in the bottle for a minimum period of six months.
Tanca Su Conti, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva, is ruby red in color, characteristic of Cannonau. The nose is broad and varied, pleasant and distinctive.
In the mouth it is harmonious, dry, savory and persistent wins the praise of expert evaluators.
It is recommended that the wine be oxygenated, inside a decanter, to soften the effects of the tannins, before consumption.
At the table it is exalted with typical roasts such as the famous Sardinian porcetto and lamb, game, and medium- and long-aged cheeses.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 18-20 °C in a goblet with a wide mouthpiece.
