Baione Cannonau di Sardegna DOC of the Trexenta Winery of Senorbì is a still red wine made from pure Cannonau grapes.

Cannonau grapes come from vineyards cultivated on soil with a limestone structure associated with clay fractions, bush-trained, with an average planting density of 5,000 vines/ha, and a production of about 60 quintals per hectare.

Once in the winery, the selected grapes are started for crushing. The resulting must paste is transferred to macerators for extraction of the coloring substances in the peel. The must is then transferred to thermo-conditioned containers at a temperature of 18-20 °C to be started for alcoholic fermentation.

After about 10 days, the wine is racked into 225-liter French oak barrels, where it is left for a period of 12 months. It finishes aging in the bottle for a minimum period of six months.

Baione Cannonau di Sardegna DOC is a wine of ruby red color, harmonious taste and aroma, with the typical characteristics of Cannonau that are magnified on the palate where the dry savory, warm and persistent flavor is tasted.

At the table an excellent companion for roasts and aged cheeses.

Taste at a temperature of 18-20 °C in a goblet with a wide mouthpiece.

The name: refers to the cork vats that, during the grape harvest collected the grapes
