Mussennore Granazza is a Barbagia IGT white wine made exclusively from Granazza grapes, a native white grape variety, produced in Mamoiada by the Mussennore Winery.
Granazza grapes are carefully harvested during September and October, when the grapes reach their full ripeness. The fermentation process is spontaneous and 100% natural, preserving the authenticity and complexity of flavors and aromas.
After manual harvesting and scrupulous selection of the grapes, they are gently crushed to obtain the must. Next, the wine is transferred to steel containers, where it matures for about 8 months, allowing the flavors and aromas to fully develop. This period of maturation gives Mussennore Granazza a balanced structure and considerable complexity.
With an alcohol content of 13.5 percent, Mussennore Granazza shows a fascinating golden yellow color in the glass. On the nose, there is an intense aroma, with fruity hints intertwined with elegant floral notes, creating a symphony of enveloping scents.
On the palate, this wine stands out for its remarkable freshness, evident savoriness and persistence. Mussennore Granazza offers a unique tasting experience with a harmonious balance of its sensory characteristics. Each sip reveals a pleasant complexity of flavors, which develop into a long, enveloping persistence on the palate.
Mussennore Granazza is a wine that lends itself to multiple food pairings, elegantly accompanying fish dishes, medium-aged cheeses and light pasta dishes. It is recommended to be served at a temperature of 12 °C in order to fully appreciate its complexity and freshness.
Mussennore Granazza IGT Barbagia is an exceptional wine that embodies the authenticity and tradition of the Mamoiada region of Sardinia. Thanks to its careful winemaking and respect for the nature of the land, this wine expresses the excellence of the Granazza grape variety, offering a unique and unforgettable tasting experience.
