Intentu Colli del Limbara IGT is a Sardinian still red wine produced by the Cantina Castiglia di Calangianus made exclusively from Syrah grapes.
Syrah grapes are grown in vineyards with north-south exposure at an altitude between 150 and 200 metres above sea level. Guyot-trained with a planting density of 5000 plants per hectare and a yield of 60 quintals per hectare.
The Syrah grapes are harvested manually in boxes, usually at the end of August.
Once in the cellar, fermentation takes place for 15 days in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for 20 days in stainless steel, again at a controlled temperature. The wine is matured for 14 months in barriques and a minimum of a further six months in bottles.
Intentu Colli del Limbara IGT is a bright red and purple wine, elegant, enveloping and charismatic with decisive and complex aromas of great balsamicity combined with earthy notes.
On the palate, a broad, deep and enveloping Syrah, calibrated, soft, velvety, rich and with a long taste persistence.
On the table, the perfect companion for grilled meat, game, lamb and semi-mature cheese.
Si raccomanda di assaggiare a una temperatura di 16-18 °C.
