Porteddu from Cantina Canu in Luogosanto, Sardinia , is a Cannonau di Sardegna DOC still red wine made from 100% Cannonau grapes.

Porteddu’s Cannonau grapes, are grown in the Balaiana locality in Luogosanto, in guyot-trained vineyards on granite breakdown soil with a yield of 40 quintals per hectare.

After the harvest, which is carried out traditionally by hand, the winery carries out the classic red vinification with maceration of the pomace for 8-10 days at a controlled temperature.

The wine is aged in steel tanks with further brief bottle aging.

Porteddu Cannonau di Sardegna DOC has a ruby red color to the eye, a great olfactory bouquet from red fruits to violets, great intensity on the palate characterized by excellent balance.

On the table perfect with first courses and red meats, it easily accompanies any kind of cheese, even medium and long aged ones.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
