‘Lun’ – Isola dei Nuraghi IGT – Agricola Soi
Lun is a still red wine Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, made from three grapes Cagnulari, Bovale Sardo and Barbera Sarda, produced by the winery Agricola SOI of Nuragus.
Vineyards Cultivated by low spurred cordon, with Simonit and Sirch pruning, they arise on a gentle slope of about 2 ha, facing southeast particularly rich in limestone and with an excellent visible skeleton: almost a stony ground, difficult to work but with good drainage capacity, with a yield per hectare of 50-60 quintals.
Harvesting generally takes place during the last week of September. Grapes are harvested by hand in 15-20 kg crates and transported to the winery for vinification.
In the winery, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in 50-hectoliter Slavonian oak truncated conical vats, and maceration lasts about 12 days, during which repeated punching-down is carried out.
“Lun” ages at least one year in steel to maintain the wine’s youthful characteristics. It is bottled then about a year after the harvest and continues to age here.
Lun Isola dei Nuraghi IGT from the Agricola Soi winery is a wine whose color is deep ruby red, with violet hues. The aroma is intense, with particular hints of caper, anchovy and sweet spices. The flavor is elegant, with well-expressed, abundant but balanced and pleasant tannins, well balanced by an excellent acid structure that makes the wine crisp and alive.
At the table it is exalted with grilled red meats, roasts, stewed red meats, game, and meaty pasta dishes.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
About 5-6 thousand bottles are produced depending on the vintage.
